To calculate the size of your quilt:
1. Measure the length and width of your quilt in inches.
2. Multiply: Length x Width = Square Inches
For example: A quilt top is 100 inches long and 90 inches wide.
90 x 100 = 9000 sq inches

Prep Work/Quilt Top Finishing Services
To calculate the size of your quilt:

Quilting Services
- Basic Meander: .02 per square inch
- Edge 2 Edge Designs: .025 per square inch
- Semi Custom: (1 border and basic E2E/Dense E2E): .035 per square inch
- Custom: .05+ per square inch (price dependent on complexity)
Basting Services for Hand Quilters
- 4 stitches per inch, basted approximately every 6 inches: .01 per square inch
Minimum charge for Quilting or Basting Services: $40
Thread
- Standard Thread: $1.50 per bobbin
- Specialty Thread: $2.00 per bobbin
- Multiple thread colors: $5 per thread change
Batting
- Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20: .25 per linear inch (based on the length of your quilt)
Binding
- Make binding and machine sew to the front of the quilt (you will need to provide the fabric for the binding): .10 per linear inch
- Full Binding (binding is machine sewn front and back with a flange edge on the front) .25 per linear inch: This can be traditional or a flange binding
- To calculate linear inches for binding, add the length and the width of the quilt, then multiply by 2. For example: a quilt that is 54x70 would be (54+70)x2 = 248 linear inches
Prep Work/Quilt Top Finishing Services
- $25 per hour, minimum charge of 1 hour
- This includes trimming threads, ironing, stitching open seams
